Not sure it’s the same setup but I had a clown leap over the divider and tried to no avail to net her. In the end. I stuffed filter floss down there until there was nowhere to go except up. It worked marvelous but the tank is fairly small and I had lots of floss. But the concept worked...

Not sure if it will help but beyond the obvious water change to dilute the Chems. I have had good luck dosing aminos. To get corals. Darker more vivid coloration.
