Yeah from what I’m reading another name for cristata torches are grape coral. Different family of euphylia but referred to as a type of torch nonetheless. Interesting.
just wondering if anyone here knows differences in keeping them happy vs other euphylia. Or has experiences to share.
Picked up a nice little Euphylia at brick petco the other day. Looked like a torch but in reading up, I’m wondering if it’s a grape coral.
Does this look like a grape or a torch? Anyone have experience with these? From what I’m reading keep them low since they’re a deeper water euphylia...
I’ve had monti caps slowly recover from nasty brown to former glory in time....even had to clear algae off them when i noticed the edges beginning to color and realixed they had a chance. I wouldn’t give up on those.
Glad your Duncan is fine but I had one of those die off and go bone white...
We’re an hour-plus apart, if you have something cool to trade we can meet halfway.
I never have shipped but I could. These are pretty small though. DM me details on what shipping service to use and such and I could give it a try. I wouldn’t take anything other than shipping costs.
Where are you located? If it’s somewhere I pass through at any point I’m happy to meet you or drop it off. I don’t travel much but travel soccer games and family visits get me out and about now and again…and I’d certainly bring to a club meet if I could make it.
I have at least 10 devils hand offshoots available, free to a good home. Trade always welcome but not required. Here’s a pic of the mother colony and some of the offshoots in an anemone cup in the tank.
I have Toadstool and devils hand leathers, orange Rhodactis, and Ironman mushrooms. Where are you located?
also I recommend madreefer’s cabbage coral-I have two from him (different colors) and they’re very nice.
