Hanna checker for alk works well for me. Cross-tested with my Red Sea recently and got equal results, but if you’re not trusting red sea that may not reassure you. I’ve read hannas aren’t that reliable for calcium so I stick with Red Sea for that. And I test magnesium only if I’m having...
I use inkbird. I have it set for the alarm to go off at +/- 1 degree and it does when I do water changes and the level drops below the probe. Otherwise the temp remains in the range I set it for. I’m haopy with it.
Thanks to the generosity of Paulie, I added a fantastic looking and healthy falco
Hawkfish this morning!
Pics are within minutes of introduction. Shortly after it was up in the rock checking out the scape. Lights go on in a few hours and it’s already met the other fish. Nice to add some new...

I burn them in, from what I read if you use dimmableyou’re supposed to burn in for 50 hours. I leave them running and set a reminder so I at least turn it off when 50 is passed.
I’d say as long as you have the light and chemistry, go for what you like the most. If that’s zoas, go for it. they’re typically a hardy species, though I’ve found them somewhat tricky-some take off for me, others melt away, and many have done one and then the other. I’m sure it has plenty to...
First and foremost check out the different types and find what appeals to you most, and then research it. Learn it’s needs and read about experiences keeping that type of coral. Also look at different pictures of tanks online or if possible in person, and decide what you want to keep, and set...
