Would make a great tank for growing out corals
Front glass is scratched, will need new bulkheads and new tubing from...
I have a chance to buy someones setup and will find myself selling that tank to get most of my money back, but it will allow me to have an Apex system with some probes. But I am sure it is a classic system, as his set up seems a little older.
Just raise the Alk slowly - maybe 1 point every few days.
JUST finally started dosing. Calcium was at 500, Magnesium at 1500, and ALK at 7. Thought I was gonna be dosing everything, but turns out just sodium bicarbonate/soda ask as of now. Gonna keep testing and see where we end up.

Hello all,
Does anyone know the progression of the APEX systems and when it came out and when they changed?
I see all types for sale Gold, Jr, etc. Just wondering if buying used how old is too old?
Is it worth buying the older models as well?
I guess if I wasn't lucky enough to be another recipient of Matt Z's Walt Disney I would question the raffle too. As it stands...Great job to the Raffle Pickers...Keep up the great work!
Will post a picture of the coral as soon as I can get a nice shot.
Sounds like two days of RAP for me. I went Saturday last year and still being newer it was OVERWHELMING!
Glad I had my cooler on wheels so I had a place to stop and rest when needed.
Well...Great news! I get home and there are two JBs fully open on the frag plug/rock. I guess it didnt like being buried in the sand much and shrunk up between some rocks as I did NOT see it when I took it out and examined the plug. So my next move it to move them up in the tank just a little so...
I had a booger Jawbreaker get knocked loose by my new melanarus wrasse as he was digging in the sand.
Wasn't the end of the world, but was depressing. Was hoping it was just blown to a crevice somewhere and would slowly grow and would find it at another time.
NOW the jerk has done it again...
I have, BUT I did not run it from edge to edge. Mine was perpendicular pieces. I used Glass for the straight dividers/baffles.
Glass cutter is a few dollars and glass can be had pretty inexpensively. Worst case bring it to a glass shop and have them cut and refine the edges for you.
The reason...
I have the 210, and I typically siphon the sand weekly when I do my water change. It is a bigger pain in the rear to do, because I do have corals, live rock islands on the sand, so involves relocating those items back and forth while I vacuum. "IF" I skip the sand vacuuming for a month plus...I...
I have done both reseals and total rebuilds.
Option #1 Reseal....EASY. Scrape away the old...Tape off and reapply the 100% silicone to all edges and corners in one quick shot.
Most small leaks could be eliminated with a nice RESEAL. IF the original leak was via an edge or corner you should get...
