Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Other than being extremely busy at work; really bored when off from it.
The office probably won't happen this year seems no one is interested or won't do it.
Waiting on one quite still but doubt it.
Tank is ****, lost a few fish. Will try and do a water change this weekend.
Just not into this...
First fixture I had was Nova 4 bulb in my 55g. Nice light and bright.
I was new to this hobby and mounted in the hood so that and poor husbandry caused stuff to not do well.
Tempting. Getting sick of this corner tank as I cannot Get the front curve glass clean.
I barely reach the bottom with a step stool.
I have many skimmers, what is the size of that chamber?
I had similar problem of why it took so long to make water.
Ended up being that a small hose going from one chamber to another was kinked; once straightened it worked fine.
In thge main tank he bloats very fast and is floating horizontally on the surface. struggles to swim and doesn't get much food.
The QT he seems more upright but still floats a little bit; plus he gets plenty of food to eat.
I tested the QT tank and SG is 1.022 and main SH tank is 1.025.
Temp is 74.5 on main SH tank and 73 in the QT.
I don't plan on any changes based on these readings and will order some new meds, just not sure what one.
Some further reading stated keeping seahorses at high SG can cause GBD. They recommend no lower than 1.017; mine is safe as the reef.
Considering lower the SG for the QT guy and see if it helps, plan to go to 1.020.
Thoughts?
P.S. Paulie, the article also stated high temps can cause GBD for...
