Copper can and damage the internal organs of the fish. Hyposalinity is actually easier on the fish in short durations...easier for them to dispose of salt. And all the rest that 9 posted is right on.

I cannot imagine that being a good situation. :( Sorry just not right to be honest go get a tank for QT and try your best that way. If it is in your DT tank then you will likely end up with it again as the fish will be stressed.

Well the right answer you unfortunately already nixed. You can give garlic and selcon. Assuming the tank is reef you cannot adjust salinity. You can try some of the "reef safe" cures or snake oils depending on your view like Rid Ick.

I am trying to keep my tank simple(sort of impossible). Water changes 10% weekly Skimmer refugium only dosing is 2 part and little iodine. I am with reeferwannabe on this trying to minimize gimmiky ideas(which may well be good).

I don't know to be honest. Mine was mesh moded when I bought it but something is slightly out of whack now and makes more noise then it did. There are a couple vids on how to change the wheels...all you have to do is google sicce and pinwheel. Also I think Danial posted a DIY tool for the pump...
