Diana, from what others posted seems you have to make sure you attach to a stud in the wall. I never touched my light so no idea why it took a little over a year for it give way. My guess is the condo gets damp during the winter where I could see condensation forming on the ceiling. Maybe that...

Best I could under the circumstances. Unfortunately, the led strip light is broke as only a few bulbs work. The 165w have at 100% for both channels.
My concern is an algae problem as other light was 300W and more coverage.
The outlets are not GFCI but the power strip was. I already considered that for the office.
Still missing 2 fish and Nepthea got slammed by the light so one side looks horrific. Hopefully, will recover.
@Sponge, Thanks for the tip. Since I am moving the tank will just patch the holes and repaint for now. I am just going to lay the 165w light on top for now.
You did mention that to me before. However, the fixture is 30" long and still just as wide as the single and couldn't find a TV mount to fit. So I went this route.
@Roca1357, I had it mounted with steel plant brackets and toggle bolts; 2 per bracket. Each bolt supposed to hold 80lbs so thought that would work. I couldn't catch a beam, to far out.
