Well I think today is the day fingers crossed. Making as much saltwater as I can to fill tank so rocks are covered. So far I have about 75 gallons made.
Yes it has been in a Brute with saltwater for over a year and my buddy also has live rock curing in a large tank for even longer that. He was nice enough to give me some really nice pieces. He let me pick out of it and I got this really nice piece of shelf rock. I may start aquascaping tomorrow...
Dragons breath grows but slow. For some reason it is being taken over by GHA. I have a smaller tank attached in the back of this which is growing Chaeto and caulerpa. That’s doing great.
I may transfer some of my rock over also from my small tank. Some of the rock has corals on so not sure how to integrate those. I also have a small bubble algae outbreak in my smaller tank and I do not want that in the new tank.
Just added this 2 gallon Eshopps to collect my Trident waste water. Got an awesome deal on this. (Free)
It’s almost time to start my rockwork but I am so worried. I want this to be perfect and not sure how I want to do this. I’m thinking of building 2 separate islands and then use white spray...
80 pounds will be more than enough it gives you a nice thick samdbed I actually have another bag of live Sand I thought I was going to use but it would be too much. I may just put that sand in my Refugium
Not sure if this is allowed but my buddy has a mint black Red Sea reefer 350 and wants a white stand instead. He is willing to trade stands if anyone wants to or he will also trade his black Red Sea 350 and stand for a White Red Sea 250 for his 350. I guess let me know, if this violates rules...
Guess it depends on how much you want to spend. Jebaos are popular. I have a Coral Box DCA 4,000 and DCA 9,000 that I love. They work with my Apex. These can be purchased from Reefbreeders and are a cheaper option from the more expensive
Pumps.
