I'm good John thanks! Got some egg crate from MatteZ today so I'm just gonna make my own :)
Here's a FTS. Not sure I like the rocks but whatever. looks ALOT darker in the picture. Surprisingly my light covers a good amount at 100%(not what I keep it at right now, 75% max)
Here's a pic of a cloudy blue tank. More to come once it clears and i do the rock work..Anyone know of something I can use for my skimmer to stand on? I have a homemade PVC stand but with how much water is being dumped now, its all flimsy. Would rather not have my skimmate dump back into the...
I did it! Super quiet now! Only hear a little trickle :) I replaced both 90's on the returns with closed, sawed a few slits into the one drain pipe and opened up one valve a lil more than halfway and boom! Quieter than my last tank.
Now I just gotta do the rocks, but that's tomorrow. Also will...
Just got home. Stopped at Lowes to pick up a few 90's for the returns. The tank is a lot more quiet as far as dumping into the sump. Any reasoning behind this? Maybe it just had the break in?
I'm still gonna either open the valve and/or cut slits into the drain and see where that leaves me
Yeah I'm hoping so! I have a mag 18 and to be honest, I didn't think it was going to be this much flow considering on my last tank I had it going thru 3 separate loclines on the return, I guess I just assumed it would have the same amount of flow but I was wrong lol
Alright I'll definitely do that then, I'll let you guys know how it goes later on tonight! Thanks for being patient with me!! I'm just glad all my plumbing is leak free :) doesn't look the best but it works lol
Alright I'll see what I can do when I get home tonight, unfortunately I won't be home til 730 tonight.
John - I did not install a ball valve(always thought you shouldn't restrict the return pump flow?) I barely have any PVC for the returns, its mostly all flex PVC other than the actually...
Not sure what you mean by flushing but the left drain drains straight down into the sump about 4-5" below water level, this one is okay. The right side is coming down into a 45 then into another 45(reversed) and angled a lil bit about 4-5" under the water level.
I originally had it set up just...
