    John can you pls double check your stand when you have a chance?...I don't think 1" bigger is going to be enough 'cause both tank have 18 1/2" deep so if the DT is sitting in the center of the 2x4 there's no way the 40B is going to fit inside the stand....it has to be at least 3" bigger to...

    The only reason I'm doing this is because right now I'm running a seaclone HOB skimmer and it put too much air bubbles in the DT but soon that's going to change.

    I have my skimmer plugged to a timer, it goes on when the DT lights goes off and turns off when the DT lights goes on.
