My Acclimation Faux Pas
Whenever I can, I like to use the Blue Life USA "Safety Stop - Rapid Fish Quarantine Bath" product when acclimating a new fish to one of my systems.
(Safety Stop - Rapid Fish Quarantine Bath) There's a picture of a packet below.
One part consists of ingredients for...
I understand that is one use for the power head venturi inlet, but how do you secure it in place? I think it could be a single failure point scenario - I can envision some tail-slapping wrasse, or maybe even a large snail, simply pushing the tubing out of the power head input hole.
I've been in this hobby so long that I'm the person who told CPR about TOM Aqualifters.
Most current CPRs have the connection for the Aqualifter, so you're better off using it, unless you think you can get the bubbles collecting in it some other way, because those bubbles will eventually break...
Hi Vlad!
Sorry, you can't make it.
Off-topic question ~ Are you currently culturing both Pheaodactylum tricornutum and Chlorella vulgaris? I had a long talk with my Chat GPT 4o bot, and I'm switching to these two. My new cultures are arriving from Reef Legends next week, but it would be nice...

I'd really love to find a pair or trio of these Biota Spurilla Nudis: They're worth $100 each to me!
I clicked Biota's "NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE" button over a half year ago! And duh, nada...
I elected to do a little more "Due Diligence" on this gathering. And, it looks to me like this will be at a newer venue in Hackensack. Am I right? I'm more North NJ than South NJ, so I have no real problems attending. But, I'm approaching the end of my allegiance with our salt water hobby...
This is my second one. I've had a central air disaster with one of my HVAC units, where the tanks are in the basement and the living room. Had to buy an expensive chiller and dedicate my original Sicce Ultra Zero to running it. Almost a three-week wait to get a new AC unit installed.
I used...
