I have a 10g tank and a coralife skimmer with pump. I don't have the tubes for the pump to attach and used hose which I lost but cheap purchase.

So tank temp was still high 82/84. I pulled heater and realized I was adjusting the temp wrong way,up not down. Heater is set at 72 now. Sad part even with glasses took a few readings before I realized it.

Where are you located? What kind of flower coral?

Mike, I don't see anything crawling on it. Plus I have a 6 line wrasse which is supposed to eat flatworms among other stuff.

It looks like this DO A is bleaching from the bottom up. Should I cut off the bleached part and reattach it just leave it be?

I was in the middle of a move and then fell ill, so never got a chance to kick it off.

As with any hobby prices are high at first and then come down. I agree with the previous post walk away and eventually prices will come down depending on the coral.

These guys split again. I definitely have 3 but could be 4 as its hard to see where in the rocks one is attached.

Part of the problem was the skimmer, should have realized this first. It skims wet filling collection cup with water. I placed a small dish under the skimmer to raise it and working much better now.

I forget but will double check. It keeps the water a constant temp never seen it fluctuate.

Definitely cooler at the new place and on ceramic tile which is pretty cool at night walking barefoot.

Thanks. I dropped the heater to 78, next notch down from where it was. Will wait a few days and see what temp is and adjust again if needed.

It seems in the new place I have to top off 1 gallon a day, never had to before. The setup is different now with overflow and sump. I have water temp at 82 on heater and so is DT water at 82 temp. I kept the temp a bit high on heater cause of sump. Is this okay or should I drop the heater down a...

I agree about not re-using sand. I did it once and learned a valuable lesson.
