Couldn't I get a machine shop to cut 8 inch end piece and drill holes through it and use them instead of the ones it comes with? This way it lay inside the rails like its supposed to.

What about this? It seems Hydra is bout 5.5 inches in depth and my fixture is 8.5 inches; was thinking I could just lay the fixtures across top. Good / bad...

Picked up a Eshopps RS-100 Sump and 120 Skimmer this weekend. Tired of the bad luck trying to make my own sump.

I agree Marcus it is bitter sweet. The number of fish caught compared to how many survive for transport is extremely low IMO. They need better techniques to ensure survival rate.
