Acrylic Rods: http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/product.asp?catalog_name=USPlastic&category_name=21315&product_id=18413
I also read the big box stores like hd/lowes carry a fiberglass version.
:-[ LOL - I am embarassed...yes that is what I meant! It was late and I was tired...lol
I was actually hoping to talk to you at the swap about your thorite stuff - but just never got around to it. :(
Now I have to plot my way to andy's to go to the meeting. I've got a wedding on the 22nd in...
I was thinking of using either acrylic rods or fiberglass rods to create pillars and if I have a flat piece - a cave - or even just an overhang.
I have read that you could use epoxy and twist ties in conjunction with the rods to create structures that are more pillar-like.
The other thing I...
one repercussion could be that you *may* have some things recede - only because water will somewhat yellow over time (unless you're really diligent with the water changes). This will then cause the light intensity to reduce.
Doing a 100% water change will get those yellowing compounds out - but...
That doesn't happen at the Exxon/Mobil station on rt 27. Sometimes they price CASH ONLY $.10 cheaper. And when I gave them my Exxon Mobil card - it was the credit price.
Could be a station to station thing...but my take is that cash = cash.
Re: AGA 120 (very few pictures and lots of dull writing)
Thanks everyone for helping me with the RODI. Pumped out 120 gallons since the last writing.
And as the professor says "Good news"
We have LR.... ;D
I finally understand why people are so amazed with Marco...the LR is truly very...
It's a CITGO...while I think all oil companies make flagrant money off of us - I will not patronize one that is owned by that venezuela. Plus they have that dumb caveat underneath "CASH ONLY". Still there was a line when I drove by today. I don't blame them given the state of the economy and all.
A clump of LR would typically help promote copepods....a clump that is undisturbed by fish pecking them that is. Even better if you had a big ball of chaeto.
how big is your tank and how old?
edit - phyl always beats me to the reply...
Valid point. Given the choice between an underpowered skimmer (vs the return) and having an over powered skimmer - I would choose the latter. Only because no matter how hard I try - my initial idea of the "bioload" in my tank always gets bigger than I planned (oh those dastardly sales) ;D Plus...
i've gotten mine from the following:
Aquatic Obsessions
Ocean Gallery II
Be sure to call ahead and make sure you specify if you want threaded/slip. Sometimes people walk in and just buy all the bulkheads so it would stink if you showed up and there were none left that you wanted.
That was me siphoning the gas from dflint and selling it on the street!!! :o :o
(did I just say that out loud...LOL).
i jest...dflint if you still visit the boards - please don't come beat me up! ;D
It depends on what kind of skimmer you'll be running. Ideally the return pump should not pump water back to the tank faster than the skimmer can process in the sump.
I know I will probably be laughed at - but I am awful, nay terrible at first person games.
RPG, RTS, ok - but FPS -I stink. I just can't do it...even that classic goldeneye got me so sick.
Anyways my pc is so ancient - I think I can hear the orc peons inside chanting "work work".
calaxa - this is not directed in any mean-spirited way towards you. I know you were told yours were captive-bred. But in case anyone just reads this thread and not the other posts - I just wanted to remind everyone:
Buy captive-bred.
Buy tank-raised.
If they are wild-caught, have the LFS keep...
