Some marine flatworms can take on a nudi appearance. However, flatworms are in a different phylum, while nudi's are in the mollusca phylum.....class gastropodes....same as snails and slugs. Is this thing flat or does it have some three dimension......that thing is nudi all the way.
I apologize Praveen....I didn't understand your original question and answered with one of my usual smarta$$ answers. Yes, you are correct that it is "closed," so when the power goes out the closed loop loses nothing. Here is a diagram of a closed loop and sump setup. The closed loop is...
Oh! It's just the tubing that transports the water. I took it as you pumping air into your ATO.
I use scrap acrylic and put a groove into it that snuggly fits the tubing. Nicely holds the tubing at the bottom. I use these in my ATO, and both dosing containers.
I agree Bob.....that kenya tree filled tank that Darren has takes on a whole new look once you get the beer goggles on. A keg should just about do it. Makes the tank look amazing. :p
Oh, and congratulations to your daughter.
Looks like we got the answer over on RC.....when using Randy's DIY 2 part, his Mag recipe is correct for ionic balance (with the other ions being contributed by the alk and calc solutions). The Bingman recipe is correct when wishing to dose MAG and you are not using 2 part.
In retrospect...
Yes, it is more concentrated, but the dilution doesn't matter when compairing ratios of ingredients (mag chloride to epsom). This is what is important when discussing ionic balance......specifically of the sulfate ions in epsom salt.
Bingman 10 to 1
Farley 5 to 3
For the sake of...
Thanks for sharing Ed.
The one thing I noticed about Dr. Bingman's talk was how his DIY Mag solution totally differed from Dr. Holmes-Farley DIY Mag (Recipe 1, Part 3a)....both supposedly ionically balanced. Bingman says mix 10 volumes of magnesium chloride hexahydrate with 1 volume of...
Hope all turns out OK. We've all had our "Doh" moments....more some than others. It boils down to the fact that men cannot multitask. I was doing a water change a couple weeks ago, siphoning out the water into five gallon bucks, and my wife asked me a question. That's all it took...
