Smart plugs is what I use. Reef keeping doesn’t have to be complicated.

The rock is back up for sale. It has a few bubble tips on it. I tried to have them remove to no avail. They sure like the rock. Also the royal gramma and algae blenny are back up for sale also.

I have simple setups so I have switched to smart plugs for almost all my stuff. I especially like the quality of the Kasa brand. I have yet to find a reasonable waterproof temperature sensor that can be controlled remotely.

There is no dilemma. Did you do something to the tank causing the ich outbreak? Did you add new fish. I would leave them alone. If you want to treat you will need to treat all the fish. Take everyone of them out. And you will then stress then out. All the fish have ich now. The ones not showing...
