It could be the white egg crate itself that is throwing off the nitrate and phosphates. Most people stopped using it and went over to black egg crate or acrylic racks. If you do some searching around on R2R I believe there are threads over there explaining it.

Depends on what you are testing for, different brands have been better at different tests.

Nikki took all the fish pics, I took the coral pics. Jeremy I bought it off some dude on Facebook. It is essentially a clip on macro lense with an orange filter over it. I think several stores now sell them, they are less than 30 bucks.

Space heaters are an option but you are really at the mercy of the insulation and what else you want to add to your electric bill.

I have used the HOB fuge from CPR in the past on smaller tanks and it always ran pretty well. I would also NOT get the light they sell, we use and amazon special on our 60g fuge and it was less than 100$. Fuge lights don't have to be anything fancy.

This is a first for us, reef keeping is a weird hobby like that. We have never had clowns spawn for us and we had pairs together for 5 plus years but we had a spawning pair of mandarins in a 60g cube.

We are going to be away, otherwise we would be there.

I got the same thing happening with a monti and an efflo. At this point I can't move either of them off as they are well encrusted on the rock, so I will let you know how it goes.
