I do not have an experience with them but I've read good reviews on "real reef rocks", you can get them on liveaquaria. it's a man made rocks thats been cultured to have all the goodies you would want from live rock without all the pest involved. Although, i still think dry rock is the best bang...
Thanks for all the replies guys, i will make a batch of new water and try out a new aquascape within this month. I will probably make a tale of the tank afterwards.
A grounding probe and GFCI are not a bad idea. I run a grounding probe in my sump to relieve any stray voltage that may be present in the tank due to the pumps and powerheads.

I agree, it can take a couple of days for some fish to get fully acclimated in there new home. like Chris said, just keep an eye out on him and watch how he eats.
how many power heads do you have? two? three? If only two, I would say mid back, facing opposite corners it will cause turbulence in the center of the tank which will create some random flow. I would also suggest pointing your output from your return to the surface to cause agitation. If you...
