Yes it does and it's actually kind of nice. Don't get me wrong they are expensive but work well well for what they are. I have one and love it.

that is what I currently have in my tanks, they seem to be working well but anytime my 6 line goes near it the shrimp tries to catch him. Needless to say he never does lol.

I had one in my frag tank and he never went after any fish. Just a warning though they get BIG so he isn't going to have any room to move around in a 5g tank.
