Small foxface will eat it but beware they do have a taste for polyps if not fed well. I have one in a 20g cube at the moment that did a fantastic job.

I assume you mean the umbrella effect on them. It happens to them sometimes and I don't really think there is an explanation to it. They will switch back to normal eventually.

If the trade for the eb8s doesn't go through I would be interested to purchase one if parting one out is possible.

I had two in my 20g for bubble algae. One was a model citizen, until all of its legs were ripped off by the other one. I also caught the "bad" one eating a bubble tip. Needless to say he has been sumped and I still have a emerald crab with no legs pulling itself around my tank lol.
