And I do run my tank under like 9% whites on my AI. Maybe that makes a slight difference too? Big contrast compared to my rainbow. So will let it acclimate and see how it adjusts. Just added an hour before the pic.

No. Sadly it's dry sand. I believe even the unused bags have been pierced at some point.
I generally don't do citric/muriatic acid baths. I do a liberal bleach bath outdoors. In winter you need to ensure you have heaters in place and keeping water from freezing.

DIYguy is correct. If a fish only system, some tank owners just dose cooper direct.
You can always isolate the rock in a bin or tank with a powerhead and heater and test the water after a few days.
FYI- this was prior to take down they are now in my garage mostly empty of all gravel. There are removeable underground filter trays in place you can have as well.

I just meant the equipment. I see many vermatid shells and Coraline on his powerhead. A quick bath in citric acid with the powerhead on and wipes clean.
When I suggested removing and scraping rockwork, I never meant to imply any dipping, acid bath or boiling whatsoever.
