Update ! Installed my media basket with chemi pure & purigen Picked up my pump from harbor freight for 8 bucks Ammonia is down to .25 ppm from 2.0ppm Nitrate & nitrite are pinned at Max testing levels. Either an algae bloom is about to occur or my rocks just arnt ready to filter yet

I will do this! I will pre-mix water the night before with a cheap heater in the storage.

It's a 30 gallon tank so ~5 gallon changes once a week. The storage container is 44 gallons.
