True those numbers would probably be fine for lps but in my opinion it just didn't look good. Others may feel differently so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
Yea 6.5 is where I think the legs put you. For a 36" it needs to be higher if you want to spread the light across the whole tank.
Also I have ours at 12" and only 50/60% as part of the acclimation process. I think it's final spot is going to be 10". I do have to say even at 12" and those %'s...
By looking at that pic I would assume it's using the legs since I had the same dark area's when mounting it that way.
By memory it's probably 12" off the surface. With the channels set at A - 50% and B - 60%.
Our frag tank is only a 30 breeder (36") and the 160w hung covers the whole thing. I originally tried using the legs but it left dark spots on the sides.
Thinking about changing the lighting on the frag tank and I'm looking at either Kessil a150w 15k's or the Maxspect R420R M16000. The tank is a 30 breeder so penetration isn't an issue.
Any thoughts?
