Tank birthday and I'm a Geezer

It was almost as bad today with much less ice. But the waves still made it not worth it to get any water. I would have gotten soaked so another 150 miles and no water. :(

Tank birthday and I'm a Geezer

I am going out east near where my new condo is today and I will also try to collect some water here. The last time there was to much ice and the waves would have sunk the Titanic so I wimped out and didn't get any water except where the waves broke over my head. Hopefully it will be calmer. I...

Tank birthday and I'm a Geezer

I have not seen that clingfish in quite a while unless he is under the UG filter. I can't see the back of my tank so he could be there somewhere or dried up under the tank which I also can't see much of.

Someone asked me about Selcon. If you are feeding live things such as worms or the right frozen things like clams, Selcon is not only not needed, but you can't make Selcon stick to wet or frozen foods. It will just wash off as soon as you put it in the water. If you feel you need to use Selcon...

    Wash Your White Worms

I am curious as to where you got that from. White worms Enchytraeus Albidus are Annelid worms just like earthworms. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Enchytraeus A colony of Enchytraeus worms Scientific classification Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Annelida The genus Enchytraeus includes...

Those Buck Rogers ships had a cigarette in the back that made the smoke. Very high tech for the time.

    Wash Your White Worms

Blackworms will not multiply in the refrigerator, they are to busy shivering. Even in warmer temps they multiply very slowly. I mean you could feed two small fish maybe but thats about it. Whiteworms multiply very fast and double in a few weeks.

Whatever temp you live in is fine. They like it cool so don't keep in the sun. 70s is fine. I have them in my workshop all year long and I am on Long Island. Keep them rather damp.

    Wash Your White Worms

It looks OK. I just got the worms but this looks better. You don't need a tank. I keep them in a shallow tupperwear thing with a cover that I put holes in. The worms need to be in the dark. I forgot to say that.

    Wash Your White Worms

I realize 97% of anyone who is accidentally reading this has no idea what I am talking about. I like to feed my fish live worms and there are basically two types commonly available. Blackworms and whiteworms. Blackworms live in freshwater and you buy them in water in small portions or online...

Tank birthday and I'm a Geezer

I went to a Doctor today with my wife because she needed some tests done and I needed a Doctor to fill out my papers to renew my Coast Guard Captains License. The doctor was in my Union Hall. So we get there and they call me to see the doctor. The Doctor was a thin older woman with long blond...

Tank birthday and I'm a Geezer

I went on R&R to Sydney Australia in 1970. When I was looking for my hotel in Sydney I was studying a map as I was standing at an intersection. These two guys come up to me and one of them says" Hey %$#(*@#./)&%# you,,, walk,,,,, man over.//;. In other words, I couldn't understand him and...

I perish that thought but we are supposed to move in April. I am going to "try" to move at the same time I close but I doubt that. If that doesn't happen my friend owns a LFS here and he will lend me a 55 gallon tank in his store to put my stuff in. It won't all fit but it is what it is...
