Cheato has grown alittle yes, due for a trimming soon. Skimmer seems to fill up half the poland spring bottle every few days. I feed every other day mix of brine, mysis, formula 4, or cylopeeze. Amount is a small chunk of each or of one and its about half a shot glass when dissolved.

I have a hippo and a yellow tang, I'll give Brian a ring and see if he has any I can pick-up one day this week.
I'm running activated carbon and going to do a water change probably tomorrow or Wednesday night if possible.
Sid a full bottle, maybe I'll give it a try. I've heard good things about sea slugs, but that once they serve their purpose need to give it to someone who can feed them otherwise they starve to death.
Buddy tried Algaefix with no significant change when he had a similar problem. He ended up pulling all his rocks and scrubbing them in new water, which I'd like to avoid if possible, but will do it if necessary.
So this isn't technically an emergency yet, except if I can't get it under control soon I may have my own emergency called insanity.
I seem to be having an endless cycle of long hair algae, I pick off what I can, I've increased the flow and decreased the light cycle slightly. I am running...
Try picking off as much hair algae as possible, don't scrub it because that will spread the spores, but instead try to pick it off the rocks in bunches like you would a ball of lint or a piece of dog hair.
I'm battling hair algae also, but I recently increased my flow and it seems to have...
Chicken parm, pasta, chicken breast, oh wait for our fish:)
9supra recommended Formula 4, which my fish absolutely love!
What I do is I feed every other day and I alternate what I feed on those days.
The types include:
formula 4, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, cyclopeeze, and if I'm walking by...

Sid I got your voicemail can't seem to reach you, but I think I'm going to go that route. I only added the coral from the rock so no worries there really.
About a month ago I picked up a piece of coral from inquistive, it was on a large piece of liverock, but the rock was covered with extreme amounts of hair algae.
I chiseled off the section with the coral and was able to free it from the rock. I placed the rock outside of water in a bucket and...
I can attest to the awesomeness of Steve's corals, stop in and definitely take a look if you're interested in some nice frags!
Also don't let him fool you his tank is sick, but he is too modest to admit it!!!
