It's my drop algae scrubber so it's fully submerged in the water. The smaller unit was working fine so I put it back on....hopefully this sheds light on things

My tank is small....I'm looking for a 24" fixture

The issue is, I think my Kessil is on is way out....this is my second one. It's been running super hot no matter what I did to clean it and I've been gettingsome coral bleaching. I do have a spare t5 fixture (as a backup) but 1x of my ballast has blown so now only 2 of 4 bulbs are operating...

Does anyone have any experience, past or present with thsee fixtures? I'm thinking about picking one up from ebay

That's what I thought....it could be as your definitely running something that's double your water volume but you could only allow it to run for a few hours per day or only run that as your main source of filtration

Are referring to size or skimming capabilities?

I had a sun coral a while back but honestly never had the time to properly take care of it
