Just saw your tank thread so I answered my own question. Is the return hose super long? With loops in it before it gets to the tank? Still could be a back syphon

It could be: either something mechanical inside the pump is stuck or broke or maybe there's a back syphon. is the reservoir located on the same level where the water entering is entering the tank?

or you can ghost feed....toss in some dried food periodically....i cycled my tank with nori....i just left it in there until it turned white

i actually just got some the other boyd's chemi-clean and was thinking the same thing

yea i have some cyano in that tank...if you look close on the square green chalice on the right...ive blown it off but it keeps coming back...also he's starting to bleach out a bit

Made some changes, gave stuff away, traded for new stuff

from what was described to me, it seemed that the salt mix had precipitated out...it was lumpy/clumpy....
