55 and 30 Gallon Drum Guy in Milltown

I need another 30 and maybe 55 gallon drum and so I searched our site for that guy in Milltown. I’m guessing because the For Sale forum disappeared that all searchable stuff in that forum went by-by as well. I can’t find that guys email. Would anyone happen to have it? Thanks.

    Beach Cleanup May 15th Poll

Hey, I can’t help it if I can’t multitask.  I’m a man!  I either look at the month, or look at the date.  I saw 15 and thought it was this month.  Now that I see it is some date in May, I’m not sure if I can make it.  Weekends that time of year are bad for me.

Are you saying the the Koralia controller is the only controller that could be used with these new powerheads? I won't be able to use my RK2?

    Beach Cleanup May 15th Poll

Bob, what time, where and what do you want us to bring? We are talking Monday, the 15th, and I'm good unless my accountant calls a last-minute meeting, which she does too often. Thanks for pulling this together.

    New Koralia Evolution 1400

Here’s another thought for the new base. These new Korialias may be used with wave-makers. I’m assuming that means that they can be turned on and off repeatedly. Maybe this new base dampens the torque and noise associated with constantly be turned on and off. With the old base, maybe this...

    New Koralia Evolution 1400

James, I haven’t actually tried sliding it on the older mount, but it appears to be the same size post. I would guess that the rubber shock absorbing component removes any chance of vibrational noise through the glass.

    90g DIY LED w/ sunrise/sunset/moonlight

This is great! I’ll be following along, also having a 90 gallon, albeit five feet long. Now my only problem is that I understand electrical schematics about as well as understanding Klingon! jIyajbe' One thing I do understand is money. Could you give us an idea of what we are talking...

    New Koralia Evolution 1400

Just picked up a new Koralia Evolution 1400. The motor assembly is noticeably smaller while the magnetic mound now has a rubber shock-absorbing portion that adds a half inch or so. Also claim slightly more flow while using less juice. I definitely like the smaller profile. Here’s a picture of...

    Beach Cleanup May 15th Poll

My wife and I were just there on Sunday and we were shocked at the amount of plastic debris on both the ocean and bay side.

    making saltwater

Almost. You'll want to add what is recommended...I usually add more...and then adjust to equal the salinity of the tank. To do this you will need either a hydrometer or refractometer to measure the specific graviy of the salt solution. It might sound complicated, but it is actually quite easy...

    Zapping mojanos

Paul, you’re a sick man! ;D My guess is that it is combination of the electricity, the gases (which are oxygen on one electrode and hydrogen on the other), and the heat that does them in. A triple wammie. Happy zapping.

    could use some help

Part of bulb choice is not only good growth but also personal preference of the color that turns you on. My two choices would be: 1. Four ATI Blue Plus and four ATI Aquablue Specials 2. Three ATI Blue Plus, three ATI Aquablue Specials, 1 6500K (any brand), 1 Fiji Purple. I have a six-bulb...

Need Advice – Adding more Clowns

I’m in need of advice of adding more clowns to my tank. I have a 90 gallon, five foot long tank that currently houses an interracial clown couple. I have a black clown (after Hawkeye’s discussion, I’m willing to bet this is an Ocellaris). paired with a funky orange mis-bar (another Ocellaris?)...

    2010 Officers

Congratulations new Board. Best of luck in continuing to advance the cause. I do see one correction; Having been the outgoing Director at Large – North, that new guy you have in there also needs to be listed as NEW; a little green behind the ears, but I think he’ll fit in. ;D EDIT TO ADD: I...

Bulkhead size for 2.75 diameter hole

I would definitely go with the 1 ½” schedule 80 bulkhead. It is for a 2 5/8 inch hole. That’s only 1/8 inch off of what was drilled. It is overkill, and I could never understand why people even considered schedule 80 for aquariums. But in your case I don’t think you have a choice. It also is 3...

Bulkhead size for 2.75 diameter hole

The closest bulkhead is an 1 1/2 schedule 80 which needs a 2 5/8 inch hole. Agree with contacting the manufacturer. Also, where is the hole?
