I totally know how you feel. This just happened to me to last month. It was my large Black & White Ocellaris Clownfish. Bummer! I even have eggcrate on top, but it doesn't cover the whole area.

I agree with taking the pictures at the same time at night. Otherwise, as Phyl said, the variable lighting would skew the results. I would think once or twice a week to take the pics.
