I have the Maxi Jets, and twice now,in 2 years, I have had anemones who were galavanting about looking for who knows what, get sucked up by them. The strainer does help so they don't get totally destroyed. I haven't tried any other brand though... Erna

We are not going to be able to make this meeting. Sorry Rich, but with the lighting buy and all my stuff getting fried (new pumps, new maxijets, heater,etc...) and gas prices being what they are right now, we are staying close to home. :(

So, I took Doug to the train this morning like I always do. Everything was fine when I left, except I did notice a "skunky" kind of smell. I didn't think too much of it, since we were running a little late and had a train to catch. I dropped Doug off and had just pulled out of the train station...

Welcome!! The biggest lesson to learn is to be patient. Don't rush and throw everything in at once. And learn from these guys, they are some of the best. Erna

Anyone else want to go together and try these out? Jeff (9 yr. old who just watched the Pirates of the Carribean) took mine out and was playing pirate. Needless to say, it no longer works. Couldn't withstand being dropped off the plank (jungle gym). Creativity is alive and well here at my house...

Thanks Jason and Nancy for hosting another great NJRC meeting. I never cease to be amazed at the systems you guys have. Not just one tank sitting in a room. Maybe someday I will get that far. :-\ And thanks Steve for the help on my skimmer.

I wish I could go, but we are going to a barrel tasting (Doug and I are making wine with a bunch of our friends) and then taking the kids in our youth group ice skating.
