Absolute droolfest over the yellow favia, always wanted one of these, yellow submarine. The colors are even more vibrant in person. Also was able to get the raptors piece favia chopped up into multiple frags , was over an inch thick of straight coral skeleton.

    GAW's Son's Nano Reef 13.5

I try to avoid adding anything to the tank. When you add one thing it ends up converting what you don’t want into something else, which may Inturn be green hair algea everywhere. I think since the tanks new and small with relatively small rock and the additions of more coral, the tank is trying...

I have no issue with the tank over heating, my top is open on the tank, I have a maxijet 1200 as the return pump and an mp10 and occasionally a small gyre and the tank never overheats. The room temp stays around 72 and there is an Rhein heater that turns on randomly( the heaters the original...

A lot of vendors sell them, or in my case when I purchased corals from this guy in florida he has his own and would throw a pair in each pack.

Question about pictures posted of corals

Yeah I tend to avoid sites that blackout the foreground in pictures, and I respect those that take the time to post daylight and actinic pictures.

    AWC on a 40 breeder?

Yea that’s got to ultimately be your decision then, that’s why I have as little technology controlling my tank as much as possible.

    Good growth no color

Yeah the tank deff will come into it’s own just got to give it time. With bare bottom tanks it may take awhile for stability in the long run to be achieved. And as long as those super purple ones are growing, you can cut back the old brown pale parts. Just do it one by one. So cut one down to...
