i do weekly changes atleast for the first 6 months every sunday i change mine 5 gallons just to replenish the PH, calcium mag and such i dont dose or anything my stuff stays pretty high

so my tangs been in the tank 2 days hes about 1-2 inches in size he just showed signs about 4 dots atm, he eats nori like crazy and mysis shrimp should i attempt to setup a QT tank and do the whole copper phase or attempt having him fight the ich off?

thats what im trying to do now get myself a QT my tang just popped ich when i got home so ima try and find a 20 gallon tank start cycling it and try to QT the tang in there

umm last year around may? not to scare you but petco is chance store you can find rare stuff at low prices or you can find great deals but everything you get needs to be dip and quarantined if you cant quarantine like myself just dont have the room or time for it... you need watch what you get...

see problem with petco is all their tanks are under 1 system so its 3 tanks are under one system then the next 3 under another so if 1 tank gets sick pretty much all 3 their employees are also big time rookies which isnt a way to run a business... guys telling me you cant stop ich in their fish...

i dont have a quarantine system could set one up but only about 10-20 gallons tops which isnt much help, the tang is currently doing really well no signs of ich on any fish hes been eating mysis and seaweed non stop which is a good sign im trying to get him to eat pellets

My last two where from petco aswell watch their poop cause mine both had parasites and died two weeks later

If i do setup a quarantine tank would a 10 gallon one be enough to quarantine the 4 fish including the tang at once for let’s say 60 days? And if so how would you treat this tank what’s, also if i do setup a QT tank doesn’t it have to cycle for a week or so

The tank is a 40g cube the tang is tiny 2 quarter sized It’s been eating has a lot of hiding places I’ll be feeding nori heard that helps think it’s possibld to beat?
