If I bleach it. I will use one of my water change containers. Is that smart or will I contaminate my water? Also once I bleach the rock. I plan On using the base rock in the display tank. Will this cause a cycle.
Im looking to cook some live rock in under 2-3 weeks. Would like to take it back all the way to dry rock if possible. Since the person im getting it from has had it in a bin for a few months.

I was reading about that idea too. What do you run your ALK at and what is your PH? I thinking of running my alk at about 10 dKh. but it appears that would lead ot high PH of 8.4. Is that good?
I have the Hanna Alk and i like it.. its very consistent. But, it also matches the API one I compare it again. So for the money its API....
simplicity its Hanna (i hate counting drops!!!!)

Phos is zero and I have chaeto in fuge. Sure I think it's contained. Just annoying to look at and a constant reminder that the min something's off I have a huge problem
I'm starting notice a little patch of hair algae. Do I scrub wit a toothbrush. I've read mixed reviews. Some say don't scrub in tank since it will just float and reattach else were any suggestion. It's not really enoght to pull on with hands
