Personally I drip acclimate my fish, using some tubang and a ball valve...slow n steady drip for at least 1hr for me, inverts too except snails.. Corals I just float

The light itself could be the issue....as the spectrum may not be 100% to its liking. Your light may be on the cheaper end but may offer the better lighting option ...but that's a guess on my end. Try moving the coral to another place in the tank and see how it does
