Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
The best part will be that there's no more pink crayon...and no more ugly dog balls resting on your arm when he lays down beside you on the couch.
I'm a big fan of the neuter. If you read anything on dogs online, you'll find that hundreds and hundreds of dogs are put down every day because...
I used Chrome exclusively for a week or so. Since then, I've switched to the new Firefox 3.1 Beta 1, and it's everybit as fast, plus it's a fully functioning browser.
...and it's not microsoft.
It's actually nice that, on my home computer, my wife uses Explorer exclusively, and I use FF, and...
Hey guys,
My corals had browned out over the last...well, for a while now, and one in particular was brown when i bought it.
Was hoping someone could post a picture, so's I can see what one looks like when it isn't quite...so brown.
Thanks!

Touche!
It's hard not to. You spend all that time researching, then assembling, then you just stare at water and wait. And you don't truly comprehend the chemistry going on yet.
Good luck, Ryan! :)
Just so's ya know, you might want to (in the future) be a little more careful introducing the fishies to their new environment.
Floating the bag will pretty much equalize the water temperature, but you've also got the content of the water to consider. Say the fish store keeps their fish at...
Maybe the cat peed on the sock. My friggin cat targets all laundry in my basement, no matter how clean. ;)
Good luck! I'd offer you a frag of the PPE I got from you at the frag swap, but the two heads are still just two heads. ;)
I was in AO yesterday to buy a fish.
Lately, I've been poking around the stores, looking to see what I could put in my tank, but I'd been deeply dissapointed by the state of the stores in NJ, and also by the low level of customer service I'd been getting.
But yesterday, I made it into AO right...
Not really. If your water is tap water, chances are pretty good you're just going to have an algae farm.
Which is why I mention the water purification system (RO/DI or otherwise).
Trying to get eBay feedback removed is pretty much impossible.
Car problems happen. But, doesn't this person still need to get to work? Weeks without a car? Doesn't sound likely.
Sucks, but that's eBay for ya. ;)
The funny thing about equipment is you always want to upgrade, even after you've upgraded a few times.
I started with PC lighting, then went to T5 then MH
I started with HOB filters and powerheads and went to closed loops systems and refugiums and I STILL wish i could upgrade to a drilled...
I decided Wachovia was the worst bank ever, years ago.
I had a credit card through them. Every month I'd get double charges, or the balance would just be wrong. And every month they'd fix it, and raise my limit.
After about 6 months my $5k card was up to $23k limit, and I told them to cancel...
Just a note on buying water.
You'd think it'd be easier than it is.
I started that way for my 29g.
5g a week, right?
Well, you also need to take into account the fact that your tank will lose a few gallons a week, so you need non-salted RO/DI water, so now you need 2 bucket fulls, 10g a...
Ok, so I've read both of your threads and you seem really stuck on this 'how many 5g question'.
Are you asking how many buckets of salt you're going to need to buy to fill up a 30g tank, or how many buckets of mixed saltwater to fill up?
A ~$50 bucket of salt should last you approx 6 months in...
