Hey guys,
Have a 20k 175w bulb on my tank. Blue, I guess, is in the eye of the beholder.
I'd like to add an actinic bulb on the tank, maybe 2 lil guys, for a little...pop.
Just wondering if anyone know's of an inexpensive way to do so?
I've been looking around at t5s and PC and even small...
Man.
I was looking at my tank after work yesterday, and everything looked great.
I come back in the room about 20 minutes later and everything looks great, but somethings missing.
Finally I realize my flame back is nowhere to be seen...and he's not bashful.
So, I keep looking, and I think my...
Re: Attention: Show us your FTS (Full Tank Shot, in case you don't know the term
Man. I changed the picture somehow on my online album, and it changed the one I meant to post to that picture which really isn't very good.
How embarrassing. :-[
Outside of some orange digi and a hydnophora, these are my first real frags of SPS.
I don't really know what to look for for good health, so i figured I'd post a picture and see what people said.
The tips on one are purple, and that wasn't there when I put it in, so I assume new growth (good)...

That tank looks great, Bill!
I just took a new pic that turned out extremely well, so here it is...

I think what she's saying is that she wants them as big as possible so they look good on a projector, rather than the smaller sized files that fit in the posts on this forum.
:)
I really like Picasa. It's by google. I use it to suck the pics off my camera, sort them, crop them, and since I use gmail, I even have a few gigs of space to put them on the web with a single click of a button. Then you just link to them using the img tags

Hey man,
Tank is looking pretty good!
Your best bet to combat that cyano, if you can't move the powerhead (or whatever it uses for flow) is to restructure your rock. I had to do it to my 29g recently because of dead spots due to my 3 dimensional rock pile.
After i changed the rock a bit, no...
Here's the one I purchased on advice from this forum:

So far it's great! I bought the faucet adapter to plug it in where my garden hose...
I'm getting ready to rip up the old floor in a 700 Sq Ft. basement, and I'd like to do radiant heat when we pour the new floor.
Anyone have any experience with such?
I'll be plumbing it in as a new zone on our oil-burning hot water boiler system.
Thanks!

If you set them to push rather than pull, I would guess they would last a lot longer.
I ended up using a 7 inch clip-on-the-bed-headboard type fan from walmart for like $13. It pushs a heckuvalot more air than your standard CPU fan, and since I run it on LOW, it's very quiet.
Sorry, but I had to get rid of the hawk. I loved the lil guy, but I just couldn't keep any crabs, snails or shrimp without him killing them.
And he bullied all my other fish, too.
Great personality, though!
This is the very end of one of the articles over there, and what made me try the no skimmer method.
I have a skimmer in the closet from my old 55g, though, and if it ever becomes necessary to use it (who knows what the future holds) it's there. But, so far so good.
