Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Yep, once per week. I've forgotten once or twice in the past leading to a 18oz or so dose, but for the most part 6-9 per week is normal.
77.8 atm, I leave the AC on when out and have the tank fanned. Temperature is pretty stable between 77-78, on very hot days it may jump to 80, highest I've...
KK,
That was my initial thought. I even replaced my Aqueon with a Mag last week. BUT! Your reply got me off my ***. I broke out the meter, replaced the batteries, plugged one end into the outlet and dropped the other in the water. I'm running at 9-12 VAC atm. So that seems OK. I may re-test...
Sequala of events:
2-3 weeks ago noticed a resurgence of bryopsis.
10% water change.
Started GFO.
7 days or so ago I noticed that my 2 small anems shrinking, quickly. Got one to the QT, the other I couldn't (can't) find. The QT anem died, assume tank anem is dead.
Immediate 20% water change...
HP,
KK. I'll be heading to pick it up next Wednesday most likely. And I've built 2 sumps where I've used plexi inside a glass tank with 100% silicone. Had no problem with either one. Saying that, this stuff is so affordable I may try to make a full sump out of it.
7I'm not talking about the entire build. I'm just talking about the internals. I'm going to pick up a 40b at the Petco sale and sump it up.
Sorta like that Elvis Costello fish song.
Also, ran 1/8 in a small 10g sump/refuge a while back which worked very well. Had a test run of a 20gL sump off a...
Hi all. Found a guy out in Brielle with a bunch of leftover plexiglass. As I'm building a sump, I contacted him and got some great prices on the pieces he has left over post a local job. Checked, seems legit.
All pieces are .25"
Here's what he has:
2-12x22
6-24x24
2-24x36
2-24x48 (he quoted me...
10g freshwater with contemporary metal stand. Includes 4 neons, 2 hatchets, 1 ghost shrimp, 2 snails, food, filter, a few pads, hood with lights, heater, plants, driftwood, air pump, bubbler tube, CO2, plant food, water treatment, blah, blah, blah.
So, its complete. It's not one of those...
Mark,
I picked up some phytoplankton and have been mixing in a little bit of Coral Frenzy (assuming any dry coral food will do) then target feeding the gorgon every 3 days or so.
The thing is going nuts (plus the other corals are benefiting quite a bit as well).
Just an FYI.
Mark
Just wanted to bump this. I saw the LEDS have now dropped to $160 each on Amazon.
I just listed them on CL for $200.
Anyone here want's them I'll do $150 for both.
Need the cash to finish up current tank before new baby comes (want to get a contained sump (Eshopps r100 or r200) and a cabinet...
Today's WTF moment...
I've got a varied CUC with various types of snail and a few red legged hermits. Are those snail eggs on this hermit's shell? Initially I was concerned for some king of parasite or disease, but these things are spaced, are very symmetrical, and seem to have a bit of...
Doing a bit of maintenance and figured I'd fire off a couple of shots.
Met a few of you and have described the tank, but never shared any photos.

Mark,
Timing is everything. This is weird.
Last week I was at the right place at the right time and got a fairly large blueberry gorgon at a fairly small price. Not 10 hours ago, just before bed, I thought... 'self, we have to figure out some stuff about that new coral'. And this morning...

So I have 2 of these that I had on my 40b when I started. They were excellent. Programming is easy as heck. You can sit back and hit some 'fun' buttons once in a while, via the remote, while watching the tank - such as turning down the room lights, hitting the 'storm' effect button, and playing...
I'll just stick with excuses and try to be as creative as possible. Hopefully I wont repeat myself over next few years.

George, very nice. In 11 months you should casually leave a 'modified' listing of anniversary gifts laying about. I'm sure they'll be quite surprised at 'SPS corals' being a 6th anniversary gift.
BTW all, thanks for the wishes. It wasn't a major event nor a bid for sympathy, just felt like s$@t...
