I too have been using it for a few months. I gave it a shot since I had a conversation with Joe aka Tusi Reef aka the guy who works with Sandler. So far so good. I dose 5-8ml 2x a week.

I ONLY use tunze atos. If pump goes bad, replacement is cheap. I use the 3155. Clean the sensor about once a month by wiping it with a tissue. Easy maintenance

Thanks man I appreciate that. These colonies were so big i always gave a bunch away to reefers at the meetings. Now time to grow them from tiny frags again. Ah well, that's the game.

My PH goes from 7.9 to 8.3. Up and down daily. Never had an issue. Wondering if the death in the big colony meant less alk consumption.

Im thinking first it had to do with weather change. Could also be corals stopped the growth spurt, so I had a fast drip rate, and the corals didn't absorb it fast enough. But honestly, I am not sure. All I dose is coral snow and micro bacter purple. A few trace elements as well.

Just as the title says..a huge alkalinity spike from 8ish to 10.5 in as little as a week killed my three biggest colonies. ALL were birdsnest type colonies. Thank goodness my high end frags are doing OK. I thought my alkalinity was high because of an error with the trident.....I was wrong. I...

Ok. Verdict is in. Sunday to Sunday nothing fed except reef jerky 4x a day on the Avast Marine plank. Here's a pic. Bunch of algae spots, but not bad at all considering what the glass usually looked like before.

Update. Full week of all jerky..small spots of algae on glass but not a lot. Im going to clean the glass this sunday, take a pic, then all jerky for a whole week. Ill take a pic of glass on Friday.
