New SteamPunk "light thing" angler fish is completed.
Now I need to know which one people feel is nicer so I can keep it, the other one will be sold at the art show.
I can't decide.
I am designing a porcupine fish but am still having some difficulties with the design.
I just had to do it today. I had to glue some corals back. I had 5 large pieces of montipora laying on the gravel and every hour, a crab or fish would turn them over so they were in the dark. For a couple of weeks I would just turn them over so they had light but I got tired of that and I had...
How is the new one coming along? It is 3/4s finished. I still need to finish wiring it, install the "nuclear Reactor and the base.
Here it is next to the finished one.
So I went to my boat today and the first thing I notice is that the grass shrimp are swarming all over the place. That's great but I don't have time to collect shrimp. I open the engine hatch and spend a few minutes trying to figure how to bend myself down there in a position where I can...
I just came home from collecting in my favorite tide pool. I collected 55,372 amphipods give or take five. I dumped them in my tan with the associated mud, sticks, seaweed, snails, worms, barnacles and Godzilla larvae. Probably 73 diseases in there also. But my fish think they died and went...
I went down to my boat yesterday to install a pair of hatch lifts so I could lift the engine hatch cover without breaking my back. It needs to be opened a lot because the table is stored down there as well as the vacuum, some oil and spare food in case a Supermodel drops by. But that doesn't...
I think my male Bangai cardinal is finally going to die of old age. I really thought he would die six months ago with his mate but he is still looking great. But he stopped eating and that is the first sign of dying of old age.
I will see how long he hangs on. I am thinking a week but I did say...
JRWOHLER, too many people are cringing when they read about dirt. A few weeks ago we were at a bar be cue at my friends house and my Daughter's friend had here baby there. I saw the baby on the grass eating grass and dirt so I told her Mother who is a school principal. She surprised me by...
This morning my wife and I were discussing how we lived when we were much younger and how the world has changed. My Dad and her Dad had retail stores. My dad had a fish market and just like her dad and everyone with a food market there was piles of saw dust on the floor. The cutting boards...
Today I got 2 new fish. One is something that is the size of a clown gobi but has a poisonous spine and is polka dotted. I forgot what it is. I also got a new Possum wrasse. Now out of the 25 or so fish I have probably 8 of them are hiders and I will only see them once a year around the...
I received the new copper toilet bowl float and I aged it last night because it comes shiny copper and that is not the look I am looking for. Now it has a nice patina on it with green streaks.
I also have a much larger tesla globe which will be a quarter of the fish. I hope to build this one...
Really! That is so cool and something to be proud of.
I was in the First Cav Division, the same one Custer was in although he screwed up pretty badly.
Yes it is. Pretty powerful.
As we age we normally gets aches and pains which are good because they let us know we are still alive. If we didn't feel anything that is because we are dead and no one wants that, or at least no dead people ever complained so we don't know how that experience will be, but most of us will find...
Memorial Day, which is the last Monday in May is a holiday and many of us have off from work or school and some of us look forward to sales.
But lets also remember that Memorial Day, which started right after the Civil War, is to honor our men and women who died fighting for America.
Too...
