Couldn't find blue or moon lights I liked for the tank. So I just threw the Micmol on the back. I wanted to see nite time critters. Here is a pic at 5% blue, no white.

I had one 7 inch on my old setup. I was able to add carbon bag and floss on top. The current setup has a sump with 2 socks holders. I did use one with a carbon bag only and other floss. My cups seem durable. Yo can get one cup and keep a sock just in case.

I agree. Get a filter cup, socks are a pain. I add floss and replace every 2 or 3 days. I have two 3inch cups.

So there is your answer; The salt mixes at 7.5 If you want higher Alk maybe use a salt mix that has the Alk level you're shooting for.

As long as its consistent I wouldn't worry. Water changes will help as Foxchase stated. That being said I dose 5ml weekly using ESV 2 part and my Alk sits around 8/9. Monthly WC of about 10g.
