I went dark for 7 days. Used black poster board from dollar store and taped all around the tank. Covered with a dark sheet/blanket. Lot some coral that were going out anyway and one fish. Huge water change afterwards. God luck but don't give up; I know the feeling.

Agree, been there a few times before. Which is why I have not spent any $$$ on coral or fish there in 2 years. Just RODI water during the winter but might be worth the trip to AO once a month.

Either way I am taking as she is planning to toss it.

Th problem here is that Paulie received store credit from ACC. If there is a sale and you try to use store credit ACC will charge you the full price not the sale price.

A pic may help. I think MarkC had two holes and 3 in overflow box but maybe it was external.

Wouldn't the emergency drain be part of the overflow box? I believe it has a piece of PVC that sits an inch higher than the water levek. In other sites I have seen the return split in the back with a T going into the sump. Both pipes had separate valves for control.

Picked up a because purple style and green Elk horn from Aquatic obsessions today. Along with salt. Yes, Amado and I met up to switch coral....LOL Will post pics when they open.

Bump. The PS1000 is running very well for me.

The pump on my ASM skimmer started making a grinding noise this week. Today took it apart and the impeller is very rough. I tried cleaning it but nothing so soaking it vinegar and water and will see what happens. In the meantime broke out my Elos PS1000 skimmer never used. Had to raise it up...
