With one power head you need to worry about dead spots. If you are sure one can do the trick then go for it. In my 46g which is 36" I used to Korila's to ensure not dead spots. The second benefit is if one fails at least you have the other moving water. With one if it dies you need to scramble...

Tough call. In FW tanks I heard it can be treated with meds, not sure though. Also, heard in FW setup they would feed the fish fresh mushed peas. Again not sure of this or know what it does. Good luck.

Fish market. Some stores like Shop Rite, Wegman's do have a fresh fish section.

I read somewhere to buy them fresh; place them in the tank on a half shell and they should pick at it.

Have you tried mussels or oysters instead of clams?

Love Reef Octo skimmer always worked great for me. Currently using Eshopps and seems to be a workhorse as well.

Agree, they work. But when the handle cracks or breaks its a pain.
