    Starfish

Quote "Its probably plastic and he has it tied down with fishing line." VERY FUNNY My tank is 72g with 20g sump. At least I think its 20g. I cannot say why mine seem to survive. I tend to bunch my rock together, even though I try not to. Maybe food falls in there and that's what eats??

    Starfish

No other corals were ever impacted. Currently no anthellia in new tank; won't survive. I have SPS, LPS, leathers and zoas with no issues regarding linkia.

    Starfish

My experience with them is that it ate the asternia stars and anthellia. My small star population reduced and it would walk over the anthellia rock and next day there was no coral. Just my opinion and experience.

Where do you get your sand?

I rather pay the $1 a pound. ACC dry sand is very clean; 1st time I rinsed once and fine. The second time I just dumped it in with no issues and cleared very quick.

Patient zero! Need to borrow a large rubbermaid

I bag float and add DT water to it over time, about every 10 mins for around 30 mins then I catch it and release. However, I try my best to carefully select my purchase. If anything looks bad in the same tank or surrounding tanks I will not purchase anything.

Patient zero! Need to borrow a large rubbermaid

I would be concerned about stressing out the other fish and having a second outbreak. Tough call. Good luck.
