I totally agree with you. I thought the rubber band was so you would remember the height after emptying the collection cup. The screw has to be real tight. I did just notice a hole on the left side of where the cup slides into. The hole goes out to the return section but is blocked if cup is set...
Art, I did follow the directions so when I said dosed once I meant what the instructions stated.
The bottle stated use 20 drops per 10.5g first day and repeat 48hrs later and leave it be for 14 days.. This is exactly what I did and the QT is 10g.
The fish had no signs of ich when I did QT, other...
No clue what happened. I dosed once like instructions said and let tank be for a few weeks. Did a 3g water change a few weeks ago. last week added the carbon filter to remove copper and yesterday swapped it out. The fish was not looking well or eating much for a few days. Woke up this morning...

Thanks Paul. I assume you have an overflow for your skimmer. Mine doesn't. Just a rectangular box that which is collection cup fits inside the skimmer.
My HOB skimmer fed into a 5g bucket just in case of overflow. Well was gone 2 days and bucket overflowed and had about 10g water all over my laminate floor. Guess I should have installed a switch to turn off skimmer when bucket was near full. Live and learn.
All being said the skimmer I have...
Also, place it where you can easily access it. I am short and placing it in the middle was difficult to access the collection cup, diffuser, etc.
So now it sits in the corner.
Question.
I used a HOB filter for the hospital tank but would like to add it on on to DT later to run GFO.
How do I clean it to ensure no copper get into the DT and kills coral?
Thanks
Mark
Has anyone used this? I was thinking of getting and dose bi-weekly as it states.
