Thanks Paul. I assume you have an overflow for your skimmer. Mine doesn't. Just a rectangular box that which is collection cup fits inside the skimmer.

My HOB skimmer fed into a 5g bucket just in case of overflow. Well was gone 2 days and bucket overflowed and had about 10g water all over my laminate floor. Guess I should have installed a switch to turn off skimmer when bucket was near full. Live and learn. All being said the skimmer I have...

Also, place it where you can easily access it. I am short and placing it in the middle was difficult to access the collection cup, diffuser, etc. So now it sits in the corner.

Thanks The filter is easy as I can run it in a vinegar bath. The heater is not submersible so that would be harder. Luckily its not going in the DT.

Question. I used a HOB filter for the hospital tank but would like to add it on on to DT later to run GFO. How do I clean it to ensure no copper get into the DT and kills coral? Thanks Mark
