Take the cup off for now. Did you remove any carbon or gfo that you may have? If not take it out.
And if you haven't, add either a bubbler or an extra powehead to to break the water surface during the treatment.
So, test the salinity on the fresh AF and I'm glad I did.....the salinity as per their instructions, rang up at a lil over 1.031 on my refractometer!
So I basically added another gal on fresh RO, tested and it was about 1.026. Hopefully the other parameters stay in line but we will see
Aquaforest Salt...
So today will be the 1st that I'm going to start using Aquaforest Reef Salt. I gotta sweet deal of $40 for a 200gal mix box right before holidays through BRS.
When mixing IORC, my measurements were 1/2 cup per gal to give me about 1.025-1.026. With aquaforest after...
that's a pretty solid list...i would say that the Apex unit would be an optional purchase. You also could go cheaper @ShaggyRS6 on some of the other pieces of equipment if you are on a strict budget
i don't think its worth saving as it seems dead or almost dead at this point. i would frag off a piece that has the most life, treat it and toss the rest
