Phil,
I will post a pic tomorrow. He dragged a branch in the house about 4 foot long and was chewing on it.
I will also post the GBTA pic tomorrow but Patriot76 if you have them for sale go for it. No hijacking or hard feelings just poor timimng on my part.
I have bubble algae growing on the the bottom of my overflow and not sure how to remove it. I was think turning off all pumps and use a plastic razor blade sliding down and a net underneath to catch the algae. Will that work or is there a better way?
Would scrubbing the rock prior to bleaching speed up the porcess? I would break the bubbles and release spores but should die quicker I would think while in the bleach/water solution.
Not many do. The ones that do you should have a good relationship with them which could take a few years. Best bet is post on some reef sites or Craigs List.
Noticed two lights out tonight now and both controlled by the same switch. When I try to turn it off and on I hear a buzz and nothing happens. Maybe the switch is bad?
I took the fixture down and checked the ballasts and no leakage, nice and clean. I then remembered I had some old bulbs and tried them and they fired right up. I will eventually check the ballasts as the link states and will check the bulbs in another fixture, probably stop at a LFS.
I purchased 4 new bulbs from a vendor here in Sep 2009. Two months later one bulb died; I contacted the vendor who gave me the manufacturer email and number. They replaced the bulb with no problems. I noticed today that another bulb is now out which is why I think the bubble algae is starting up...
I gladly pay the $10 and say thank you. Unfortunately, I have 4 of them and I added a 5th, held for someome. They didn't like it much as it was much smaller than the others. I had to use a separate tank until they picked it up. Good luck.
I have two tanks I left outside in which the bottoms cracked. One is a 30g and the other is 15g or 20g.
These are free if anyone can use them otherwise in the trash next week.
I have a 75g standard tank. The top brace is broken and the overflow wall is missing. The tank is drilled on the bottom. I used this for two small tortoises and covered the holes with plexi-glass using aquarium glue. For sale or trade. let me know what you have.
