Yea I saw that, and that item is more feasible for the HH. I think if MS set their target markets commercially they will do well. I can see distributors/wholesalers taking advantage of this item. I think the biggest gamble will be this things accuracy.

in the video, they also only recommend that you cycle your tank for 48hrs before you add the live rock and fish.....it's almost like a placebo affect if you ask me.....in the picture they are only showing how the tank will look after you set up day 1

personally i do not like the set up, as is, like James @njtiger24 aquariums mentioned, its a little misleading IMO. if you look at the video, they are only selling you the concept. (the fish coupon, sand, rock, corals etc) they are using the Fluval Evo Marine Aquarium for the set-up Evo...

personally i use crushed coral on my tank but i picked it up new......i wouldn't use anything used (personally) as far as substrate. too many variables involved with that IMO i have a 40lb bag of dry/sugar fine sand if you are interested, free if you can pick it up

small tanks are tough, the biggest issue i had with my 10gal IM was swings in salinity.....also after a while, once i started to add a bunch of items, skimmer, wave maker, heater, media etc. the tank itself became a cluttered eyesore

Like @horseplay mentioned, with what u have, right now feeding isn't necessary. U typically only feed corals with "mouths" so to speak. Water changes and maintaining parameters will suit you just fine. But if you do decide to feed, the Chilli is 1x scoop per 20gal so I would use half a scoop...

Is 10min too long/short?

You can either target feed with a dipper or a turkey baster or just mix and blast it in the tank. A little goes a long way as this stuff will add nutrients to your tank
