im going to get it this weekend along with something else i need for my RODI unit (need 2 "T's" to make a flush valve)...being that it will be so hot out, i might as well give myself something to do
my concern on this will be of course $$...this is $25 so that's almost half of my budget already.

I have about 50-60lbs (i think its more as they are large pieces) of live BASE rock in a holding tub in my basement .....nice large pieces but they are only base rocks....they will be perfect for drilling holes into them so you create structures

I have seen it done with acrylic but I haven't done it myself, but yes from my understanding it may not bond well to your glass, also may have the potential to "bow" under the pressure (depending on how thin it is)
Personally, im terrified...
Sorry, I was confused, <--my bad
For the baffels, it will allow you to have chambers for all your fixings (skimmer, return pump filter Sox etc
In its simplest form, it will allow u to separate your items (there are others who can chime in if I'm missing something)
Are you considering setting up a refugium in your sump? May wanna DIY some baffles. Also drilling that tank may be something to consider as well so that you can potentially avoid any accidents. From experience, I have had the worst luck with HOB overflows. But like mentioned in prior posts...
yea i thought about a fuge, but i didn't want the additional plumbing and what not...worse case i can drop it into the tank on the side but this is all just an experiment...it's all going to boil down to if i can DIY this thing, if not i will have to see what the dimensions are for the other...
