I am doing the same thing with some dry rock. I have a piece that broke up which had some sponges, and some stuff on it. I can even smell the dead items coming off the dried rock. I aquacaped the items with epoxy and let them dry cure. Basically what my plan is cure the dry rock in a square tub...

sorry i didnt read the thread....i have never dealt with an gas furnace...sorry about that i do have a contractor that services mine and he he's really inexpensive

I tired to lighten up the shots but this is the best I could get with the camera that I have (tablet) this is in December of last year
