They don't look much smaller, and I like how they cheat the pump down past the can in the one pic :) prob is once you add the mount to it the whole thing sticks so far out. They should work on a more flush mounting system. Nice they can be on a timer though, just have to hope they last longer...

Shady area in case the mh is too much light for the lps on the sand bed. But your mh are only 150's and your tank is 24 deep you should be fine

Dont cut a notch in the container this will badly weakin it. Just cut a u notch in the lid so when you close it the wires and tubing wind up inside the notch. If you run the tubing up to you dt make sure it's not under water at all orit will siphon back to your top off container and quickly...

From what i hear you need to purchase the stand also to get the warranty. Then if you have a warranty problem a rep will come look at it and make sure you leveled it properly and try to find any other reason not to warranty it. Which is bull because your paying way too much for those cheaply...
